Class 1            Tack and Turnout – can be unmounted. 

                        To be judged on turnout, cleanliness, fit and suitability of tack presented and rider / handler turnout. Open to                                  all entrants.  Split between plaited and unplaited

 

IN HAND – Main Ring

 

Class 2           Pony not exceeding 128cms

Class 3           Pony exceeding 128cms but not exceeding 148cms

Class 4           Horse exceeding 148cms

Class 5           Registered Small Mountain and Moorland Pony

Class 6           Registered Large Mountain and Moorland Pony

CHAMPIONSHIP - IN HAND CLASSES 2 – 6 (1ST & 2ND PRIZEWINNERS)

 

TROPHY PRESENTATION:

MRS C BAILEY TROPHY TO BEST HIGHLAND 4 YEARS AND UNDER

THERE WILL BE A VETERAN ROSETTE PRESENTED TO THE HIGHEST PLACED HORSE OR PONY 16 YEARS AND OLDER IN CLASSES 2 - 6

RIDDEN CLASSES – Main Ring 

 

Class 7           Open ridden Horse or Pony.  Rider 13 years and over. 

Class 8           Lead Rein (Rider 9 years and under) or First Ridden Pony (Rider 12 years and under). 

Class 9           Registered Ridden Small Mountain and Moorland Pony

Class 10         Registered Ridden Large Mountain and Moorland Pony

 

CHAMPIONSHIP - RIDDEN CLASSES 7 – 10 (1ST & 2ND PRIZE   WINNERS)

TROPHY PRESENTATIONS:         

MRS KERR TROPHY FOR THE BEST RIDDEN HIGHLAND MARE OR GELDING

THE WHITAKER’S YOUNG BEST RIDER UNDER 18YEARS. IN CLASSES  7,8,9 & 10

 

Notes:

  • Classes 4 & 5 8 & 9 to be shown in natural state – no plaiting or excessive trimming

  • Ponies must be registered in their respective stud books.

  • Classes may be amalgamated but judged separately where numbers are low

  • Class 7 may be spilt into LR and FR sections if sufficient numbers allow

  • Ponies / Horses can only enter one class in both sections (in hand & ridden)

Entry Fees

Entries £5.00 per class - enter 5 classes for £20.  Closing date. To be received by 5th August .

 (Late entries on the day and after the 7th will be accepted and charged at £10.)
